Precision Camshafts reported audited standalone revenue of ₹6,120 lakhs for FY26, up 7% from ₹5,717 lakhs in FY25. Standalone profit after tax declined to ₹250 lakhs from ₹292 lakhs, a 14% drop. Consolidated revenue was flat at ₹8,654 lakhs (vs ₹8,500 lakhs), with total comprehensive income falling to ₹391 lakhs from ₹602 lakhs. The company recognized exceptional items including impairment of ₹5,776 lakhs on its German step-down subsidiary MFT Motoren und Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH, which filed for insolvency in September 2025 and was liquidated. Additional exceptional charges included ₹3,569 lakhs impairment on PPE and ₹754 lakhs foreign currency translation reserve loss, partially offset by ₹935 lakhs gain on de-consolidation. New labour code implementation added ₹310 lakhs to employee costs. The Board recommended a dividend of ₹1 per share. Statutory auditors issued unmodified opinions on both standalone and consolidated results with no qualifications or going concern doubts.
The significant impairment of the German subsidiary weighed heavily on standalone earnings despite modest revenue growth. Shareholders should note the profit decline and the impact of exceptional items on underlying operational performance.
