Premier Energies has approved the establishment of two new solar manufacturing facilities through its wholly-owned subsidiary PEGEPL. The first is an 0.8 GW TOPCon Cell facility at Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh, requiring Rs. 349.75 Cr, with completion expected by September 2026. The second is a 1.6 GW TOPCon Module facility at Sitarampur, Telangana, requiring Rs. 125 Cr, expected by March 2026. Both will be funded entirely through internal accruals and are additions to the capacity originally outlined in the offer document. Combined, these add Rs. 474.75 Cr in capex to existing pipeline of 5.57 GW cell and 4.4 GW module capacity already under construction.
This expands Premier Energies' planned manufacturing capacity beyond what was disclosed at IPO, which is positive for long-term growth but increases execution risk given multiple parallel projects. Funding via internal accruals (no debt) signals strong cash generation and avoids dilution, generally supportive for shareholders.
