APL Apollo Tubes reported its highest-ever quarterly and full-year performance for Q4FY25 and FY25. Q4FY25 sales volume rose 25% YoY to 850k Ton, revenue grew 16% YoY to ₹55.1Bn, EBITDA jumped 48% YoY to ₹4.1Bn, and net profit surged 72% YoY to ₹2.9Bn, with EBITDA per ton improving to ₹4,864 (+18% YoY). For full-year FY25, sales volume grew 21% YoY to 3.16 million Ton and revenue rose 14% YoY to ₹207Bn, though EBITDA per ton fell 17% YoY to ₹3,797 reflecting margin pressure earlier in the year. The company turned net cash at ₹3.1Bn (vs ₹0.18Bn in FY24) with zero net working capital days. Management announced a ₹15Bn capex plan over 3 years to expand capacity from 4.5Mn Ton to 6.8Mn Ton by FY28, including new plants in Gorakhpur, Kolkata, Bhuj, Malur, and Dubai, plus roofing sheets and heavy structural tubes at Raipur.
The strong Q4 margin recovery (EBITDA/ton up 17% QoQ) and value-added product mix rising to 58% signal improving profitability, supporting the stock's growth narrative. Major capacity expansion with an ROCE ≥30% target reflects management confidence in long-term volume and return growth, though near-term margins remain a watchpoint.
