TCS has announced the launch of three new centers in Europe to grow its Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) business. Two Automotive Delivery Centers are being set up in Germany — in Munich and Villingen-Schwenningen — and an Engineering Center is being opened in Romania. The new hubs will work on autonomous driving, infotainment, digital cockpits, safety systems, and connected vehicle technologies for European automakers. The centers currently house over 100 professionals, who will collaborate with more than 2,000 SDV engineers across TCS's global network. TCS highlighted its long-standing presence in Europe of over 45 years, with 15,000+ employees in the region, and mentioned using Generative AI to accelerate product development in SDVs.
This expansion strengthens TCS's position in the fast-growing SDV segment and deepens its relationships with European car manufacturers, which could support future revenue growth from the automotive vertical. For shareholders, it signals continued strategic investment in high-value digital engineering services rather than any near-term financial event.
