Prime Fresh Limited, an Ahmedabad-based agriculture value chain company focused on fruits and vegetables, announced its Q1FY26 results. Revenue from Operations stood at ₹533.4 million, nearly flat QoQ (up 0.12%) but up 15% YoY from ₹465.1 million. EBITDA (excluding other income) rose 29% QoQ to ₹39.7 million from ₹30.9 million, with EBITDA margin expanding by 100 basis points to 7%. Profit After Tax surged 48% QoQ to ₹28.6 million from ₹19.3 million, lifting PAT margin to 5% from 4%, driven by cost rationalisation in employee and operating expenses. Diluted EPS came in at ₹2.0 versus ₹1.41 in Q4FY25. The company also announced several strategic expansions including a new Distribution Centre in Lucknow, launch of UP Mangoes and tomato operations across four states, entry into the banana category in Maharashtra, and revival of Siliguri operations in the North East.
Mixed signals for shareholders — QoQ profitability improved sharply on cost control, but YoY EBITDA actually declined 8% with margins contracting from 9% to 7%, suggesting top-line growth alone isn't yet driving stronger earnings. Aggressive geographic and category expansion could support future growth but may pressure near-term margins.
