Prince Pipes and Fittings has submitted to the exchanges copies of its Q1 FY26 standalone unaudited financial results, which were published in Financial Express (English) and Janadesh (Gujarati) on August 7, 2025, as required under SEBI LODR regulations. Revenue from operations came in at Rs 5,804.16 million, down about 4% from Rs 6,044.72 million in the same quarter last year. Net profit after tax fell sharply to Rs 48.21 million from Rs 246.75 million in Q1 FY25, a year-on-year drop of around 80%. Basic and diluted EPS dropped to Rs 0.44 from Rs 2.23 a year ago. The company's employee cost for the quarter was reduced by a Rs 44.50 million writeback of excess staff incentive provisions from earlier periods, which provided some support to the bottom line. Results were reviewed by the Audit Committee and approved by the Board on August 6, 2025.
Sharp year-on-year decline in both revenue and profit is a negative signal for shareholders. The steep fall in net profit despite a favorable writeback suggests weaker underlying margins and may weigh on the stock in the near term.
