Prithvi Exchange reported Q1 FY2025-26 results with total revenue of ₹85,289.78 lakhs (≈₹852.90 crores), up 18.66% from ₹718.76 crores in the previous quarter (Q4 FY25). Net profit for the quarter stood at ₹113.46 lakhs, sharply higher than ₹9.49 lakhs in Q4 FY25 but significantly lower than ₹435.46 lakhs in the same quarter last year (Q1 FY25). The company highlighted that geopolitical tensions (India-Pakistan and Israel-Iran conflicts), reduced Hajj quota, and delays in student visa approvals weakened demand for travel forex and prepaid cards. On the positive side, Prithvi Exchange secured empanelment with the State Bank of India to serve forex requirements across SBI branches nationwide, and is expanding into RBI-permitted businesses like crew wages and visa fees.
While sequential (quarter-on-quarter) performance improved, the year-on-year revenue and profit decline shows the business is still under pressure from geopolitical and regulatory headwinds. The SBI empanelment win is a positive growth catalyst that could support recovery in coming quarters.
