Punjab & Sind Bank reported its provisional FY25 business figures. Total business grew 11.91% YoY to Rs. 2,29,831 crore, driven by strong advances growth. Total deposits rose 8.68% to Rs. 1,29,780 crore, with CASA deposits up 5.39% to Rs. 40,796 crore. Gross advances surged 16.39% to Rs. 1,00,051 crore, pushing the credit-deposit ratio sharply higher from 71.99% to 77.09%. The CASA share dipped marginally to 31.43% from 32.42%. These figures are provisional and subject to statutory audit.
Strong double-digit advances growth well above deposit growth signals healthy loan expansion, though the falling CASA ratio and rising CD ratio may put some pressure on margins. Overall, the figures suggest improving business momentum for shareholders, but the final audited numbers will be the key trigger for stock movement.
