PTC India Limited announced its Q1 FY26 results ending 30th June 2025. Standalone trading income grew 8% to INR 77.61 Crores, while standalone PAT marginally declined 2% YoY to INR 140.96 Crores due to lower rebate and surcharge incomes. Trading volumes rose 13% to 23,042 MU compared to 20,464 MU in Q1 FY25. On a consolidated basis, profit before tax from continuing operations surged 42% to INR 288.74 Crores, and PAT from continuing operations jumped 61% to INR 242.88 Crores. EPS rose to Rs 6.59 from Rs 5.87 in the year-ago quarter. Management highlighted CERC's market-oriented initiatives like VPPA and exchange-market coupling as future growth drivers.
Strong consolidated profit growth (61% YoY in PAT from continuing ops) and higher trading volumes are positive signals, though the marginal decline in standalone PAT due to lower rebate income is a minor concern. The stock may react positively given the robust consolidated numbers and improving EPS.
