Pulse of the Street: Nifty ends higher despite Friday sell-off; IT, monsoon risks weigh

Indian equities ended the week higher with the Sensex gaining 1.69% to 76,802.88 and the Nifty rising 1.65% to 24,013.10, despite a near 1% Friday sell-off. Domestic sectors like capital goods and realty gained over 5% each, while the BSE IT index fell 1.3% for the week and dropped around 4% on Friday, dragging Infosys, TCS, and Tech Mahindra between 2% and 6%. Foreign investors bought equities worth more than 3,760 crore while DIIs purchased about 8,267 crore, though a 40% monsoon rainfall deficit and India's underperformance versus South Korea and Taiwan remain key risks.
