Pulse of the Street: Stocks edge for another week, but conviction is missing

Indian markets extended their winning streak to a third consecutive week but with limited conviction, as the Sensex rose 0.4% to 77,100.5 and the Nifty 50 gained 0.2% to 24,056. Real estate and auto stocks led the gains while metals fell 4.7%, capital goods shed 3.1%, power declined 2.9% and IT dropped nearly 1%. Foreign portfolio investors continued selling, pulling out around Rs 53,022 crore from domestic equities in June, marking the fourth straight month of net outflows.
