Puravankara Limited reported weak Q1 FY26 results with standalone revenue from operations falling to Rs. 126.16 crore (vs Rs. 297.86 crore in Q1 FY25) and a standalone net loss of Rs. 68.15 crore (vs loss of Rs. 15.08 crore YoY). Consolidated revenue was Rs. 524.40 crore with a net loss of Rs. 68.55 crore. The Board approved the appointment of Ms. Amanda Joy Puravankara, daughter of Chairman Ravi Puravankara and sister of Managing Director Ashish Ravi Puravankara, as an Additional Whole-time Director and Key Managerial Personnel for a 5-year term. Ravi Puravankara was re-appointed as Chairman and Whole-time Director for another 5 years (April 2026 to March 2031). Independent Directors Ms. Shailaja Jha and Mr. Kulumani Gopalratnam Krishnamurthy were also re-appointed for second 5-year terms. The company has begun due diligence to sell its entire stake in subsidiary Sobha Puravankara Aviation Private Limited. The 39th AGM is scheduled for September 29, 2025.
Continued quarterly losses and weak revenue are negative signals, but the deeper promoter family involvement (Amanda Joy Puravankara joining as Whole-time Director) shows long-term commitment from the founding family. The proposed divestment of the aviation subsidiary signals portfolio rationalization, while re-appointments of Chairman and Independent Directors provide board continuity.
