Puravankara's board, on August 8, 2025, approved weak Q1 FY26 results with standalone revenue falling to Rs. 126.16 crore (from Rs. 297.86 crore a year ago) and a net loss of Rs. 68.15 crore versus a Rs. 15.08 crore loss in Q1 FY25. Consolidated revenue declined to Rs. 524.40 crore and the group slipped to a Rs. 68.55 crore net loss from a Rs. 14.78 crore profit year-on-year. The board appointed Amanda Joy Puravankara (daughter of Chairman Ravi Puravankara and sister of MD Ashish Ravi Puravankara) as Additional Whole-time Director and Key Managerial Personnel for five years starting August 8, 2025. Re-appointments were cleared for Chairman Ravi Puravankara (5 years from April 2026) and independent directors Shailaja Jha and K G Krishnamurthy (each for a second 5-year term). The company also began due diligence to sell its entire stake in subsidiary Sobha Puravankara Aviation Pvt Ltd and set September 29, 2025 for the 39th AGM. Subsidiary Purva Oak issued Rs. 210 crore of listed NCDs during the quarter.
Sharp year-on-year revenue decline and deeper losses signal continued pressure on the real estate business, which is likely to weigh on sentiment. However, next-generation promoter Amanda's induction as Whole-time Director and KMP marks a clear family succession move, while the planned aviation subsidiary divestment indicates portfolio rationalisation. Shareholders should watch for AGM approvals in September 2025.
