Purohit Construction reported revenue from operations of Rs. 19.00 lakhs for Q2 FY26 (ended Sept 2025), up from Rs. 12.00 lakhs in the same quarter last year — a sharp jump of around 58%. The company swung to a profit of Rs. 9.97 lakhs in Q2 FY26 from a loss of Rs. 9.00 lakhs in Q2 FY25, giving EPS of Rs. 0.23. However, the first quarter (Q1 FY26) was a loss of Rs. 9.98 lakhs, so the half-year PAT is roughly breakeven at a marginal loss of Rs. 0.01 lakh, still far better than the Rs. 25.21 lakh loss in H1 FY25. The balance sheet remains weak with other equity deeply negative at Rs. -266.10 lakhs and cash down to just Rs. 0.95 lakhs. Operating cash flow for the half-year was negative at Rs. -17.31 lakhs, funded partly by fresh short-term borrowings of Rs. 13.26 lakhs. Auditor BNPS and Associates LLP issued an unqualified limited review report.
Short-term positives — revenue jump and return to quarterly profit — are encouraging, but the deeply eroded reserves, near-zero cash, and negative operating cash flow signal continued financial fragility. Shareholders should watch closely for sustained order inflows and improvement in working capital.
