Purple Finance Ltd has allotted 500 Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) with a face value of Rs. 1,00,000 each, aggregating to Rs. 5 Crores, to Mr. Anil Prithviraj Kumar on January 06, 2026. The NCDs carry a coupon rate of 12.50% per annum, payable monthly, and have a tenure of 61 months, maturing on February 06, 2031. The debentures are subordinated, unsecured, unrated, and unlisted, though the company intends to list them on BSE in due course. Principal will be fully redeemed at par on the final redemption date. This follows a prior intimation dated December 24, 2025, and was approved by the Finance Committee via circular resolution.
The company has raised Rs. 5 Crores through a privately placed NCD at a relatively high interest rate of 12.50%, which will increase its interest expenses but strengthen its capital base. For shareholders, the subordinated and unsecured nature of these debentures means existing shareholders remain at the bottom of the repayment priority, and the high cost of borrowing may pressure future profitability.
