AJR Infra and Tolling Limited reported a net profit of Rs. 31,448.36 Lacs for FY26, a sharp reversal from a net loss of Rs. 11,172.09 Lacs in FY25. The profit swing was primarily driven by an exceptional item of Rs. 31,319.27 Lacs — a reversal of provisions following the one-time settlement (OTS) at its subsidiary Sidhi Singrauli Road Project Limited (SSRPL), where the corporate guarantee was released. Operating income was modest at Rs. 2,401.30 Lacs (from other income only, as revenue from operations was nil), compared to Rs. 1,160.22 Lacs in the prior year. The auditors issued an unmodified opinion but explicitly flagged a material uncertainty related to going concern, citing that current liabilities exceed current assets by Rs. 1,12,907.20 Lacs. Multiple subsidiary SPVs remain under CIRP or litigation stress, including PHPL (corporate guarantee invocation of Rs. 1,19,024.39 Lacs disputed), RGBL, and Pravara Renewable Energy.
The profit turnaround is entirely due to a one-time exceptional item and does not reflect operational improvement. The company's extremely negative working capital (current liabilities exceed current assets by over Rs. 1.13 lakh crore) and ongoing litigation across multiple stressed SPVs make this a high-risk investment. Shareholders should exercise extreme caution.
