Quint Digital Limited reported its audited FY25 results with standalone revenue from operations largely flat at Rs. 0.84 crore (Rs. 84.4 lakh) vs Rs. 0.86 crore last year, but total income fell sharply to Rs. 51.6 crore from Rs. 68.6 crore, mainly due to lower investment-related income. The company slipped into a small standalone loss after tax of Rs. 18.35 lakh in FY25, compared to a profit of Rs. 13.25 crore in FY24. The loss was driven by exceptional items of Rs. 12.35 crore, which included a Rs. 11.55 crore impairment of capitalized content cost after the company restructured its business and shut down Quint Hindi, plus Rs. 80 lakh in merger expenses related to the NCLT-approved merger with Quintillion Media Limited. EPS for FY25 stood at Rs. 0.33 vs Rs. 8.28 in FY24. The Board also approved a Rs. 250 crore Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP), listing of shares on NSE (currently only on BSE), reappointment of MD Ritu Kapur for 3 years, and appointment of a new secretarial auditor. Auditor S.N. Dhawan & Co LLP issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the results.
Near-term sentiment may be weak due to the swing into losses and a sharp drop in total income, but the loss is largely driven by one-off impairment and merger costs. Shareholders should watch for potential equity dilution from the Rs. 250 crore QIP and consider the NSE listing as a positive for liquidity and price discovery.
