Rajasthan Tube Manufacturing Company reported weak Q1 FY26 results with net sales falling sharply to ₹1,344.97 lakh from ₹2,448.40 lakh in Q1 FY25, a drop of about 45% year-on-year. The company slipped into an operating loss of ₹109.18 lakh before exceptional items, compared to a profit of ₹8.52 lakh a year ago. Exceptional items of ₹112.10 lakh propped up the bottom line, leaving a marginal pre-tax profit of around ₹2 lakh and a basic EPS of (₹0.24). No segment reporting was given as the company operates only in ERW steel tubes, and the limited review was conducted by a new auditor, UCC & Associates LLP, replacing the previous auditor Giriraj & Lohiya.
The sharp revenue fall and operating loss, masked by exceptional items, point to weak core business performance and raise concerns for shareholders. The auditor change mid-year may also warrant closer scrutiny of governance and reporting quality.
