Rajshree Sugars released June 2025 operational data for its three sugar factory units. Cane crushing and sugar production are sharply lower compared to the same period last year across all units. Unit I (Theni) crushed 1,00,811 MT of cane YTD versus 1,28,621 MT last year and produced 9,200 MT of sugar versus 11,829 MT. Unit II (Villupuram) crushed 2,76,552 MT versus 4,98,169 MT, producing 23,421 MT of sugar versus 42,527 MT. Unit III (Gingee) crushed 2,50,114 MT versus 4,74,378 MT, producing 20,888 MT versus 40,119 MT. Sugar sales were mixed, with Unit I's sales rising (13,031 MT vs 9,732 MT) but Units II and III seeing declines. Cogeneration power export to the grid stood at 14.87, 251.51 and 159.74 lakh units for the three units respectively.
The steep drop in cane crushing and sugar output signals weaker operational performance for the season, which may weigh on revenue and profitability in the coming quarters. Shareholders should monitor how this volume shortfall impacts pricing and margins.
