Rajshree Sugars has shared April 2025 operational numbers for its three sugar factory units (Varadarajnagar, Mundiyampakkam, and Semmedu). Cane crushing for the season has largely wound down, with April showing '-' for crushing at Unit I, which is normal as the sugar season runs October to September. Cumulative season (up to April 2025) volumes are sharply lower than the same point last season — Unit I cane crushed fell to about 2.77 lakh MT vs 4.98 lakh MT earlier, sugar production dropped to 23,421 MT from 42,527 MT, and Unit II also saw roughly 45–47% lower cane crushing and sugar output versus the previous season. Cogeneration (power) and molasses data have also been disclosed, with both captive use and grid export numbers for the season to date.
The steep fall in cumulative cane crushing and sugar production signals a significantly weaker season for Rajshree Sugars compared to 2023-24, which could weigh on the company's full-year revenue and profitability. However, April sugar sales in the first table actually rose year-on-year, suggesting some inventory clearance at decent realisations, which may provide modest support.
