Rama Steel Tubes Limited reported its FY2026 audited financial results. Standalone revenue grew 13.6% year-on-year to Rs 9,543.38 Lakhs with PAT of Rs 145.35 Lakhs (up from Rs 140.01 Lakhs). However, consolidated revenue rose 7.3% to Rs 11,241.19 Lakhs but PAT declined significantly to Rs 109.47 Lakhs from Rs 227.44 Lakhs due to higher finance costs and trading segment losses. The Board approved appointment of Mr. Sumit Sharma as Internal Auditor for FY 2026-27 and strike-off of dormant wholly-owned subsidiary Rama Defence Private Limited (net worth Rs 18,000 only). Both registered and corporate offices are being relocated to new addresses in Delhi/NCR effective June 1, 2026. Notably, the company's stake in associate Bigwin Buildsys Coated Private Limited got diluted from 24.80% to 9.32%, and the Income Tax Department has issued a draft assessment order proposing income of Rs 71.96 Crores vs returned income of Rs 22.48 Crores for AY 2023-24.
The decline in consolidated profitability despite revenue growth signals margin pressure, particularly in the trading segment and higher interest costs. The associate company dilution reduces future equity method gains. However, the tax dispute represents a contingent liability requiring monitoring. The office relocation and subsidiary strike-off have no material business impact.
