Rap Corp Ltd (formerly Rap Media Limited), primarily a real estate company, reported Q1 FY26 results with zero revenue from operations and only Rs 0.49 lakhs in other income. The company posted a standalone loss after tax of Rs 29.75 lakhs (EPS: -0.51) versus a profit of Rs 6,182.02 lakhs in Q1 FY25. On a consolidated basis, the loss widened to Rs 42.55 lakhs (EPS: -0.72) versus a profit of Rs 6,182.03 lakhs in the year-ago quarter. The dramatic year-on-year swing is largely optical, since Q1 FY25 was boosted by a one-time inventory reversal of Rs 5,874.83 lakhs and extraordinary items of Rs 346.46 lakhs. The statutory auditor (Jain Vinay & Associates) issued an unmodified review opinion on both standalone and consolidated results. The 31st AGM is scheduled for September 30, 2025, via video conferencing.
The headline loss looks steep but reflects a near-dormant operating quarter with no core revenue and only marginal other income. The prior-year profit was an accounting artefact (inventory reversal), not recurring earnings. Shareholders should watch the separately disclosed sale of the Alra property post quarter-end, which is likely to be a more meaningful catalyst than these Q1 numbers.
