Rashi Peripherals, one of India's largest ICT distributors, reported its Q1 FY26 results. Revenue came in at ₹31,521 million, down 26.1% YoY on the face of it, but the company clarified this drop is due to a one-off AI server deal booked in Q1 FY25. Excluding that, underlying revenue grew 11.4% YoY. Profit after tax rose 12% to ₹617 million, while EBITDA grew 23% to ₹1,114 million. EBITDA margin improved by about 140 basis points to 3.53%, reflecting better cost discipline. The company added 4 new brands to its portfolio, and its surveillance and AI solutions businesses saw strong growth.
A mixed-to-positive set of numbers. The headline revenue decline may cause short-term stock concern, but underlying growth and margin expansion signal operational strength. PAT growth of 12% and margin improvement are encouraging for shareholders, though investors should watch the AI and surveillance segments for sustained momentum.
