Ravindra Energy Limited's associate entity Energy In Motion Limited (EIM) has commenced commercial operations at India's largest battery swapping and charging station for heavy vehicles at Nhava Sheva Freeport Container Terminal. The automated station has a 3 MW power capacity and can serve over 160 heavy EVs per day. Over 130 EIM-Foton electric vehicles are already operational at the port availing this service. EIM has partnered with NSFT, a joint venture of CMA Terminal Holdings (France) and J M Baxi Group, with plans to electrify the entire vehicle fleet by end of FY 2026-27.
This is a positive development showcasing the company's EV infrastructure capabilities through its associate EIM, though it relates to an associate entity rather than direct operations. The partnership with an international port operator and the scale of operations (160+ vehicles daily) indicates meaningful business progress in the EV space.
