RBI approves re-appointment of NS Vishwanathan as Axis Bank's non-executive chairman

The Reserve Bank of India has approved the re-appointment of former deputy governor NS Vishwanathan as Axis Bank's non-executive (part-time) chairman. Vishwanathan, who retired as RBI deputy governor in March 2020, has been serving as part-time chairman since October 27, 2023. The reappointment proposal has been included in the notice for Axis Bank's 32nd annual general meeting scheduled for July 31.
