REC Limited has informed exchanges about the incorporation of three new wholly-owned subsidiaries under its arm REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL). The three subsidiaries — Bhadla Ramgarh Power Transmission Limited, Lakadia II Power Transmission Limited, and Jam Khambhaliya Jamnagar Power Transmission Limited — were incorporated on May 8–9, 2026. Each has a paid-up capital of ₹5,00,000. These subsidiaries were created to act as special purpose vehicles for inter-state power transmission projects allocated by the Ministry of Power under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process. Once the successful bidder is selected, each subsidiary will be transferred to that bidder along with all assets and liabilities.
The incorporation is part of RECPDCL's routine role as Bid Process Coordinator for government-assigned transmission projects and has no immediate financial impact on REC Limited, as these subsidiaries are temporary holding vehicles intended for transfer post-bidding.
