Redtape Limited submitted its unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q1FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Revenue from operations fell sharply year-on-year, declining roughly 28% on a standalone basis (from about Rs. 50,397 lakhs in Q1FY25 to about Rs. 36,306 lakhs in Q1FY26). Standalone profit after tax also dropped by around 22% (from about Rs. 5,051 lakhs to Rs. 3,931 lakhs), translating to a basic and diluted EPS of Rs. 0.71. The auditor Ashwani & Associates issued a clean (unqualified) limited review report on both standalone and consolidated results, and the board approved the numbers at its August 14, 2025 meeting. Prior-period EPS figures have been restated to reflect the 3:1 bonus issue completed in February 2025, which quadrupled the paid-up share capital.
The double-digit year-on-year drop in both revenue and profit is a clearly negative signal and is likely to put pressure on the stock in the short term; investors should watch for management commentary on the demand slowdown. The clean auditor review, unchanged auditor, and absence of exceptional items or qualifications provide some comfort on the quality of reporting.
