Lords Mark Industries has signed a Technology Transfer Agreement with C-MET, a government scientific body under MeitY, to manufacture and sell an AI-powered, radiation-free wearable device for early breast cancer detection. The device uses thermal sensors and AI temperature mapping to spot abnormalities without pain or radiation. The company says it would be the world's first such product and plans to launch it commercially in India and global markets by end of 2026. C-MET brings the R&D while Lords Mark handles manufacturing and distribution, tapping into a global breast cancer diagnostics market expected to reach about USD 12.88 billion by 2035.
This is a new diversification into med-tech for Lords Mark, which is otherwise known in other segments. The tie-up with a government research body is a positive strategic signal, but the product is still pre-commercial and revenue contribution remains uncertain, so this is more of a sentiment-boosting announcement than an immediate earnings driver.
