Reliance Communications (RCOM) has filed the voting results of its 21st AGM held on September 30, 2025. Five resolutions were passed, including adoption of the FY25 audited standalone and consolidated financial statements, re-appointment of Smt. Grace Thomas as a rotational director, appointment of Smt. Priyanka Agarwal as an Independent Director, appointment of Secretarial Auditors, and ratification of Cost Auditor remuneration for FY26. Voter turnout was very low at just about 4.3% of the 276.55 crore outstanding shares, with only 83 public shareholders attending via video conferencing. The promoter group (holding about 2.14 crore shares) abstained from voting on all resolutions, while public institutional shareholders voted unanimously in favour. Notably, about 27% of public non-institutional shareholders voted against the FY25 financial statements. The company remains under the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) since June 2019, with the Resolution Professional managing its affairs.
All resolutions passed comfortably due to institutional shareholder support, but the ~27% public dissent on the financial statements signals some shareholder dissatisfaction with the accounts. The continued CIRP status means no board-level decisions rest with promoters, and operational control remains with the Resolution Professional — keeping RCOM's revival and stock trajectory uncertain for retail investors.
