Reliance Power's subsidiary, Reliance NU Energies, has received a Letter of Award (LOA) from SJVN Limited, a Navratna public sector company, for a 350 MW inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar project paired with a 175 MW/700 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The project requires installation of 600 MW of solar DC capacity and 700 MWh of BESS. Reliance NU Energies won this through a competitive auction at a fixed tariff of ₹3.33/kWh for 25 years. The tender attracted 18 qualified bidders and was oversubscribed by over 4 times. With this win, Reliance Power claims to be India's largest player in the integrated Solar + BESS segment, with a total clean energy pipeline of 2.4 GW solar and over 2.5 GWh of storage capacity.
