Resubmission of Outcome of the Board Meeting and Approval of Unaudited Standalone and Consolidated Financial results for the Quarter ended 31st March 2024
Awaiting price reaction for this filing.
Alka Securities has resubmitted its audited financial results for Q4 and FY ending March 31, 2024, after fixing a clerical format error in the auditor's report (now aligned with the SEBI-prescribed format). The company clarified the error had no impact on the actual numbers. On a consolidated basis, full-year revenue from operations fell sharply to ₹48.75 lakh from ₹105.67 lakh a year earlier, while profit after tax dropped to ₹4.42 lakh from ₹6.64 lakh. Standalone results were weaker, with FY revenue plunging to ₹27.48 lakh (from ₹99.95 lakh) and standalone PAT slumping to ₹1.22 lakh from ₹5.95 lakh. The standalone Q4 result actually slipped into a loss of ₹2.91 lakh. The auditor (PSV Jain & Associates) issued an unmodified opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
The resubmission is procedural and does not change the reported numbers, so no material new information for shareholders. However, the underlying results are weak — sharply declining revenues, a Q4 standalone loss, and a balance sheet where reserves are deeply negative (around ₹-948 lakh) and borrowings have nearly tripled, leaving shareholders' funds at just ₹7–11 lakh. This is a small, thinly-capitalised company with deteriorating operating performance.
