RHI Magnesita India reported FY25 revenue of ₹3,67,450 Lakhs, down 3% YoY, with EBITDA margin contracting to 13.7% from 14.7%. Q4 FY25 saw a sharper decline, with revenue falling 9% QoQ to ₹91,797 Lakhs and EBITDA dropping 28.9% to ₹9,385 Lakhs, blamed on pricing pressure, unfavourable product mix, ~2% raw material cost impact, and end of cement season. Profit after tax for FY25 stood at ₹20,251 Lakhs with EPS of ₹9.8. On the positive side, operating cash flow surged 302% to ₹37,308 Lakhs, helping cut net debt by 53% and reduce Net Debt/EBITDA to 0.3x. Strategically, the company commissioned a 5 MTPA pellet plant, secured an LOI for a second line, and is investing over ₹10 Crore in a Centre of Excellence for Iron Making in Jamshedpur, targeted for full commissioning by 2027.
Shareholders may view the strong cash flow and 53% net debt reduction as positives, but the declining EBITDA margins, pricing pressure, and weaker Q4 performance signal near-term profitability headwinds. The strategic capex and market share gains in iron-making offer long-term growth optionality.
