Rishabh Instruments has commissioned a new Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) line at its wholly-owned subsidiary Lumel SA in Zielona Góra, Poland. This is the 4th SMT line at the Polish facility, adding 62,000 components per hour of throughput and bringing total SMT capacity to 300,000 components per hour. The investment was partly supported by European Union funds (FENG.01.01-IP.01-003E/23) and will primarily support production of medium-voltage protection relays (CZIP series) and contract manufacturing services. The line features advanced inspection and traceability systems including VISCOM, ERSA, JUKI, and Cogiscan technology. Management described this as a strategic milestone enhancing Lumel's capabilities in industrial automation and electronics manufacturing services.
Positive capacity expansion signal — this should help Lumel SA meet growing demand, improve lead times, and strengthen RIL's position in the EMS and protection relay segments. However, no financial value of the investment was disclosed, so the direct impact on margins or balance sheet is unclear.
