Route Mobile reported Q4 FY26 revenue of ₹11,309 million (down 3.8% YoY) but gross profit margin expanded to 23.3% vs 19.3% a year ago, driven by the exit of low-margin ILD (International Long Distance) volume. Full-year FY26 gross profit crossed INR 1,000 crores for the first time at a 22.9% margin. New products (RCS, WhatsApp, AI-enabled messaging) contribute ~8% of revenue with a 4-year CAGR of 43%, though growth moderated to 11% YoY in FY26. Management guided to mid-to-high single-digit revenue growth and ~12% EBITDA margin for FY27, with the dividend raised 50% to INR 16.5 per share. Cash position stood at ~INR 1,400 crores with EBITDA-to-cash conversion above 100%. The company outlined a five-pillar strategy — ELEVATE (omnichannel platform), INNOVATE (AI and India innovation hub), DEEPEN (core client wallet share), EXPAND (geographic growth via Mexico, Philippines, US, Europe), and ACCELERATE (M&A and partnerships). ILD accounts for roughly 25-33% of revenue and management says the decline has largely stabilized.
Gross margin expansion signals a successful product mix shift away from low-margin ILD, but the modest 12% EBITDA margin guidance and conservative revenue growth expectations suggest the new products pipeline is not yet large enough to accelerate topline. The new products at only 8% of revenue leaves Route Mobile behind peers in monetizing the channel migration to WhatsApp and RCS.
