RRP Semiconductor has called a board meeting on 14 November 2025 to approve unaudited financial results for Q2 and six months ended 30 September 2025. The board will also consider withdrawing a previous preferential allotment of 1,35,25,000 equity shares (face value Rs 10, issued at Rs 12) to promoters and non-promoters, after BSE withdrew the listing permission for those shares via its 8 April 2025 order. Promoter Mr. Rajendra Chodankar, who holds 1,01,50,000 of these shares (73.96% of the enhanced capital), has consented to the withdrawal. Separately, the company is exploring legal and mediation options to recover a Rs 12 crore deposit placed with Telecrown Infratech Pvt Ltd, where RRP acted as a sub-contractor. The board will also consider changing the company's name to drop the 'RRP' abbreviation, which is reportedly being misused by unrelated parties.
For shareholders, the key risks are the unresolved Rs 12 crore deposit recovery (potential loss) and the cancelled preferential allotment, which may affect capital structure plans. The name change is cosmetic but the regulatory issues around the withdrawn allotment could weigh on sentiment ahead of the results announcement.
