SAB Industries reported Q1 FY26 standalone revenue of Rs 707.23 lakh, down sharply from Rs 1,401.45 lakh in Q1 FY25, a decline of nearly 50%. Standalone profit after tax, however, rose to Rs 36.26 lakh from Rs 14.10 lakh, with EPS of Rs 0.24 versus Rs 0.09. On a consolidated basis, the company swung to a net profit of Rs 4,648.29 lakh from a loss of Rs 1,126.36 lakh, mainly due to a Rs 4,612.03 lakh share of profits from its associate SAB Udyog Ltd. Standalone segment performance shows Real Estate and Construction divisions were the main revenue contributors. Statutory auditors S.C. Dewan & Co. issued an unqualified limited review report. The board also appointed Ms. Priya Garg as Managing Director and Mr. Taavissh Jain as an Additional Director.
Standalone revenue nearly halved year-on-year, but a turnaround in associate company earnings drove consolidated results into a sizeable profit, which may lift the stock on consolidated numbers. The key items to watch are the steep standalone revenue decline and the heavy dependence on associate income for overall profitability.
