Safa Systems & Technologies reported its audited standalone and consolidated results for FY25. Standalone revenue from operations fell to Rs 51,903.12 lakhs from Rs 62,738.67 lakhs in FY24, a decline of about 17%. Standalone net profit after tax dropped to Rs 167.42 lakhs from Rs 213.56 lakhs, while EPS fell to Rs 0.67 from Rs 1.42. On a consolidated basis, however, net profit surged to Rs 381.88 lakhs from Rs 225.43 lakhs, mainly driven by a Rs 212.90 lakhs share of profit from its associate Kanone Technologies (vs Rs 10.79 lakhs last year). Without this associate contribution, underlying profitability was weaker. The auditor (Kapish Jain & Associates) issued an unmodified opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
The sharp fall in standalone revenue and profit signals weak core trading performance in mobile phones and electronics distribution. The headline consolidated PAT growth is misleading as it relies heavily on associate company earnings, so shareholders should treat underlying business as weakening rather than improving.
