Saffron Industries reported a standalone profit of ₹23.75 lakhs in Q2 FY26, swinging from a loss of ₹17.57 lakhs in Q2 FY25. Total revenue for Q2 stood at ₹81.03 lakhs, up about 78% from ₹45.54 lakhs a year ago, though off a very small base. For the half year (H1 FY26), the company posted a profit of ₹14.54 lakhs on total income of ₹391.38 lakhs. Segment-wise, the paper manufacturing business earned zero revenue and reported a loss of ₹30.46 lakhs, while the real estate segment drove all of the revenue (₹81.03 lakhs) and profit (₹54.21 lakhs). The auditor (Jagdish Khatri & Associates) issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications.
The quarterly turnaround from loss to profit and strong Q2 revenue growth are positives, but shareholders should note that the balance sheet continues to show deeply negative net worth of ₹962.19 lakhs, indicating accumulated losses that far exceed share capital, which remains a structural concern despite the current quarter's improvement.
