Saffron Industries reported Q2 FY26 revenue from operations of Rs 81.03 lakhs, up sharply from Rs 45.54 lakhs in Q2 FY25, driven entirely by its Construction & Real Estate segment. The Paper Manufacturing segment posted zero revenue and a loss of Rs 30.46 lakhs. Profit after tax for Q2 FY26 was Rs 23.75 lakhs versus a loss of Rs 17.57 lakhs a year ago. For H1 FY26, total revenue stood at Rs 390.59 lakhs with PAT of Rs 14.54 lakhs and EPS of Rs 0.20. The auditor (Jagdish Khatri & Associates) issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications. Operating cash flow was strongly positive at Rs 910.56 lakhs for H1 FY26, lifting closing cash to Rs 111.33 lakhs.
While headline earnings show a turnaround into profit and strong cash generation, the balance sheet remains weak with negative shareholders' equity of Rs 962 lakhs and deeply negative other equity of Rs 1,681 lakhs, signalling ongoing going-concern risk despite operational improvement. Shareholders should note the dependence on real estate for revenue and the continued losses in the paper business.
