Sagar Cements shared its Q4 FY25 earnings call transcript. Q4 was weak, with revenue down 7% YoY at ₹658 crore and EBITDA margin falling to 6% from 10%, though volumes grew 5%. The company posted a loss after tax of ₹73 crore, partly cushioned by a ₹27 crore exceptional recovery from a fuel and power cost true-up for FY23-24. Management is optimistic on FY26, guiding for 6-8% volume growth to around 6 million tonnes and EBITDA per tonne to improve to ₹5,000 from the Q4 exit of ₹3,291, driven by Andhra Cement ramp-up (ahead of December 2025 schedule), ₹250-300/tonne cost savings from the Andhra upgrade, and price hikes of ₹40-60 per bag from April 2025 across South markets. The Vizag land sale (~₹350 crore expected), Andhra stake dilution to 75% via rights issue, and 6% royalty charges in Tamil Nadu/Karnataka remain key items to watch. Gross debt stood at ₹1,428 crore with debt-equity at 0.63:1 and cash of ₹164 crore.
Weak Q4 numbers are already in the price, but the upbeat FY26 guidance on EBITDA per tonne doubling and sustained pricing recovery could be a positive trigger. Watch the Vizag land sale approval, Andhra ramp-up timeline, and Q1 FY26 pricing realisation as near-term catalysts for the stock.
