Salona Cotspin Limited, a Coimbatore-based textile yarn manufacturer, reported its Q1 FY26 results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025. Revenue from operations stood at Rs. 15,710.47 lakh, down about 17.3% from Rs. 19,001.49 lakh in the same quarter last year. Net profit came in at Rs. 153.11 lakh, compared to Rs. 227.43 lakh in Q1 FY25, a decline of roughly 33%. On a sequential basis, revenue grew about 6% from Rs. 14,779.18 lakh in Q4 FY25, and the company swung from a loss of Rs. 291.66 lakh to a profit. Finance costs rose to Rs. 543.64 lakh from Rs. 431.33 lakh a year ago, while employee expenses also increased. The statutory auditors issued an unqualified limited review report on the results.
Despite the year-on-year drop in both revenue and profit, the sequential recovery to profitability and expansion in EBITDA margin may offer some support to the stock. However, the continued revenue contraction on a yearly basis and rising finance costs suggest the company is still working through challenging demand conditions in the textile yarn segment.
