Salzer Electronics reported FY25 standalone revenue of Rs. 1,382.93 crore, up 21.78% YoY, driven by strong growth in industrial switchgear, wires & cables, and building products. Full-year EBITDA grew 13.4% to Rs. 124.93 crore and PAT jumped 44.2% to Rs. 62.26 crore, helped by an exceptional gain of Rs. 15.18 crore from the sale of investment in Kaycee Industries. Q4FY25 revenue grew 15% to Rs. 365.59 crore, but EBITDA fell 15.3% to Rs. 26.18 crore and PAT dropped 31.8% to Rs. 8.23 crore, with margins compressed by higher expenses from the new smart meter business. The Board recommended a dividend of Rs. 2.50 per share, and the company secured a Rs. 192 crore smart street lighting order from BBMP Bengaluru plus additional smart meter orders worth Rs. 55 crore.
Mixed near-term picture: strong full-year growth and a large new order are positives, but Q4 margin pressure from the smart meter business is a watchpoint. The dividend announcement and order wins may support sentiment, though management flagged potential U.S. tariff headwinds and continued margin recovery depends on smart meter scale-up.
