Salzer Electronics reported Q1 FY26 revenue of ₹432 crore, up 25% year-on-year, driven by strong demand in Industrial Switchgear and Wires & Cables. EBITDA grew 32% to ₹41 crore with margins at 10%, while profit after tax rose 33% to ₹18 crore. The Industrial Switchgear segment contributed 55% of revenue (31% YoY growth, 14% margin) and Wires & Cables contributed 41% (17% YoY growth, 5% margin). Exports accounted for 24% of revenue, with Europe and Asia growing 19% and 21% YoY respectively. Management guided to ₹1,600 crore in core revenue for FY26, plus ₹300–400 crore from smart meters, and expects core business to grow 18–22% in the remaining quarters. Management also flagged a potential 10% revenue impact (₹100–150 crore) from new 50% US tariffs, and announced new temperature sensor for automotive, EV charger sales target of 1,000 units, and Saudi operations starting in Q3.
Strong quarterly results with double-digit growth across revenue, EBITDA, and PAT support the growth narrative, but the repeated downward revision of smart meter guidance and exposure to US tariffs may keep the stock range-bound in the near term. Investors will likely watch for execution of the next ₹50 crore smart meter order and clarity on tariff impact over the coming quarter.
