AI summary

Sammaan Capital Limited has received approval from its Securities Issuance and Investment Committee to issue US$450 million worth of Senior Secured Social Bonds at a coupon rate of 7.5%, maturing in 2030. The proceeds will be used for onward lending, as permitted under RBI's external commercial borrowing (ECB) guidelines and in line with the company's sustainable financing framework. This is a follow-up to the company's earlier communication dated October 9, 2025.

Likely market impact

This is a debt raise, not equity, so there is no shareholder dilution. The fresh USD borrowing expands the company's funding pool for lending activities and demonstrates access to international debt markets, though it also adds to the company's overall leverage and foreign currency obligations.
