Sangam Finserv reported total revenue of Rs 1,548.92 lakh for FY2026, down from Rs 1,701.48 lakh in the prior year, a decline of about 9%. Net profit (PAT) fell to Rs 325.76 lakh from Rs 659.72 lakh in FY2025, a steep ~51% drop, driven largely by a surge in impairment on financial instruments to Rs 95.45 lakh (vs just Rs 7.43 lakh in FY2025) and negative fair value changes of Rs 285.81 lakh. The company also saw significant growth in borrowings, rising to Rs 5,397.90 lakh from Rs 2,676.25 lakh in the prior year. A 4:1 bonus issue was allotted in February 2025, and EPS has been restated accordingly. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified opinion, confirming clean financials.
The sharp fall in profitability, rising impairment charges, and near-doubling of borrowings are red flags for a financial services company. Investors should watch for asset quality deterioration and whether the higher leverage is being used to mask operational weakness.
