Sanofi Consumer Healthcare India Limited has appointed M/s. Price Waterhouse & Co Chartered Accountants LLP (PwC) as its new statutory auditor. The appointment fills a casual vacancy created by the resignation of M/s. Kalyaniwalla & Mistry LLP, which had tendered its resignation on 30th April 2026. The Board approved PwC's appointment on 25th May 2026, effective immediately till the conclusion of the ensuing AGM. Additionally, PwC has been appointed for a 5-year term from the conclusion of the ensuing AGM until the Eighth AGM in 2031, subject to shareholder approval. PwC is a large chartered accountancy firm established in 1991, with over 120 assurance partners and 17 branch offices across India.
The mid-term resignation of auditors by Kalyaniwalla & Mistry LLP and appointment of PwC represents a significant change in the company's audit framework. While this is a routine corporate governance action, it may attract investor attention, particularly given the size and reputation of the incoming auditor.
