Sanofi Consumer Healthcare India (maker of Allegra, Combiflam, Avil, DePURA) held its first investor meet since the demerger and listing. The company reported a turnover of around ₹880 crore, profit from operations of ~37%, and ROCE of 62.5%, with FY25 performance showing revenue up 21%, operating profit up 13% and PAT up 33%. Management outlined a growth strategy built on three pillars: doubling HCP (healthcare professional) reach and direct retail coverage in 2026, scaling consumer engagement and brand investment, and pursuing product innovation. The CFO noted that domestic sales grew 22% including recall impact, or 11% on a like-for-like basis, and confirmed that all recalled products are back in the market. Management indicated openness to inorganic opportunities with parent Opella, highlighted India as a key growth geography, and said the OTC policy could unlock direct consumer communication for brands like Allegra.
The strong 2025 numbers and a clear growth-led strategy (2X HCP and retail reach targeted in 2026) are positives for shareholders, but the CFO's refusal to share any forward-looking growth guidance may leave investors wanting more concrete targets to underwrite the expansion plan.
