Sanofi Consumer Healthcare India reported its unaudited Q1 FY26 results on August 4, 2025. Revenue from operations rose to ₹2,209 million, up about 28% year-on-year from ₹1,723 million in the same quarter last year. Net profit for the quarter stood at ₹607 million, more than double the ₹290 million earned in Q1 FY24, partly helped by a one-time exceptional gain of ₹66 million from reversing excess demerger-related provisions. EPS for the quarter came in at ₹26.36 versus ₹12.58 a year ago. For the half year, revenue was almost flat at ₹3,935 million, while profit grew around 21% to ₹1,107 million. The company also relaunched Combiflam Suspension during the quarter after last year's precautionary recall of select products. Notably, the global ownership structure changed during the quarter, with Sanofi selling a 50% stake in Opella to a private equity buyer, making Opal JVco S.a.r.l the new ultimate parent of the India entity.
Strong quarter for shareholders with sharp profit growth driven by higher sales and a one-time gain; however, the flat half-year revenue and the change in ultimate parent (away from Sanofi) may be key things investors watch going forward.
