Sanofi India Limited received an Order of Acceptance from the Assistant State Tax Officer, Thripunithura, Kerala, dated 25th May 2026. The tax authority had initiated scrutiny proceedings for FY 2020-21 regarding discrepancies in e-way bill generation (multiple bills, non-generation, unreported bills in GST returns) and excess input tax credit claimed. The tax amount involved was INR 59,77,141. After reviewing the company's submissions, the authority accepted them and issued an order dropping all the proceedings. The company has confirmed there is no material impact on its financial, operational or other activities.
This is a positive development for Sanofi India as the tax proceedings have been fully dropped with no financial or operational impact. The matter is now closed and should not affect the stock.
