Sanofi India has received Central Government approval for the appointment of Mr. Deepak Arora as Managing Director for a period of 3 years, effective from 27th October 2025 to 26th October 2028. The approval was granted under Section 196 read with Clause (e) of Part I of Schedule V of the Companies Act, 2013. The company had submitted its application on 21st January 2026 and received the government approval on 1st April 2026. One condition of the approval is that Mr. Arora must give an undertaking not to become interested in any selling agency of the company without prior Central Government approval. The approval document also refers to him as an expatriate Managerial Personnel.
This is a routine regulatory approval confirming the appointment of the Managing Director. The stock may see a positive reaction as it removes uncertainty around leadership, though the appointment was already effective from October 2025. No immediate material impact expected for shareholders.
